Madison DeHaan
My three takeaways:
1- the importance of dural attachments and creating ease in the nervous system by reducing stress in areas of tension.
2- Real-life applications for the tools we learned.
3- cranial adjusting tips to take into practice. This really helped bridge my knowledge from school and other seminars. It was a deep dive into relevant material that we don’t get from school. It better equipped me to serve patients in clinic and future practice.
1-Cranial adjusting – we don’t learn this at school.
2-Suture Palpation – analyzing the skull to find patterns of distortion and address common compensation patterns. I even had a friend at school mention that she had a weird bump that she wasn’t sure why it felt “stuck” on her skull – a few attendees and I were able to palpate and agree it was likely restricted motion at the asterion! So cool!I definitely would recommend this course! If you want to work with kids and create lasting impacts to the nervous system- it’s important to get early results during prime brain development! This course defined why that period is crucial and gave the tools to address it!
Dr. Jacobe was AWESOME! Very helpful and relatable. He presented the materials in a manner we could understand and was able to answer all of our questions. Dr. Brooke was very knowledgeable and friendly.

My three takeaways:
1. It was super hands-on and I loved getting right into it after the lecture
2. It seemed like it was a lot of information, but it was perfectly condensed into a weekend for us students.
3. Jacobe was amazing and super knowledgeable. Having him as an instructor greatly improved the seminar. This will have a really big impact because I haven’t had much experience in pediatric adjusting before. The approach to adjusting and cranial work for kids is something I will definitely use.
The cranial work will be the most relevant because it is not taught often here in school.
Absolutely would recommend this program because us students aren’t able to dive into pediatric as much in school because it’s not offered much so this was a huge help.

Sam Anderson
My three takeaways:
1) CSF flow is so important, and we can directly influence that through precise care.
2) Chiropractic changes people’s brains in a good way, especially with the SOT technique.
3) This was a great seminar. I feel like I have a good foundation for SOT for spine and cranium.I want to get more teaching and experience with cranial work within the SOT model. I’ll be entering student clinic in a few months, and I plan on using SOT as part of my evaluation and adjusting technique. Time will tell how I use it down the road in practice, but I believe it will be a key part of my flow.
The most relevant techniques are Cranial because I hope to see lots of kids whose sutures aren’t closed yet. Also, SOR because it can tell us so much about someone’s body and subluxations.
Definitely would recommend this course. Dr. Jake did an excellent job, and SOT is a great technique.
Dr. Jake was the perfect instructor – smart, explained stuff in a helpful way, funny, hands-on. He showed me what to improve and gave me confidence in my current skills.
