I took this program for an understanding the vestibular system and acquire specific tool to examine patients.

My three takeaways are the importance of examination to help patients understand what is happening, setting objective goals for patients and improve confidence in my practice.

This was a good review of SOT system with terms that is easier to understand when communicating with patients.

I have used the vestibular assessment tool on one of my patients with hereditary spinocerebellar ataxia. Even with the language barrier it was easy for her to understand what we are doing and the goals that we are achieving and about 3 visits in we see major improvements in her balance as well as her kickboxing movement coordination.

Thank you Dr. Rosen and Dr, Watson. You are always going above and beyond in putting these materials together.

I decided to take this course because it sounded interesting and I was curious to take a course taught by Dr. Rosen and Dr. Watson. I was hoping to gain a better understanding of the vestibular system and apply that knowledge to my massage therapy practice.

Three takeaways I’ve already shared with others are… The bones in the cranium move with every deep breath. The brain and entire body plays a part in maintaining balance. In thinking about the vestibular system, we can’t just look at the inner ear. Our fascial system is all interconnected, which allows for restrictions in the neck to be felt and tested for by observing how the legs react when the head is turned

Having a new expanded understanding of how the body works is influencing my view of my own body and my work already. By knowing more, I am able to notice and respond to different cues from myself and my clients’ bodies.

I have a client who has chronic issues with dizziness. Through the process of taking this course I began approaching my work with her with more of a view of her full spine and alignment. In the past we had focused most of the work on her neck with good results, but not long lasting relief. I’m curious to see if with time she is able to hold on to the improvements longer now that I’m incorporating more work throughout.

I found this class to be very interesting and challenging. Thank you!!!

I took this program because I wanted to expand the scope of SOT treatment and study it in more detail. This is why I chose this course.

I learned the structure of the vestibular system and its functionality and what problems occur when corrupted.

The program has made it possible to analyze patients in detail and establish treatment plans, and it had a positive impact on my life.

I took this course to learn new home exercises to give to patients with vestibular and balance concerns.

My three takeaways: 1) Tandem walking as a test and a home exercise 2) reminded me of the importance of pupil response to light 3) testing side dominance.

I have immediately begun incorporating tests into my exam and I’m often testing tandem walk in adults and giving it as homework to improve if it isn’t good.

    Thanks for a great course!

Atlas/Axis dural restriction Exam, well explained differentiation between primary descending pattern or ascending pattern and the interactions, the understanding of importance to give treatments to children/babies early enough.

Professionally we were very well trained for the ascending body lesion pattern but not enough in the descending lesion pattern. I’m very happy to have done the course which supported my thoughts and feelings.

In the past I controlled only the dominance eye test to determine the normal posture. It is clear that if you want to be exact you need to control the vestibular system. With this analysis I found out with a patient with frequent dizziness while dancing and doing pirouettes. She has dominance of the right eye but has dominance of hand, foot and ear on the left side. When closing the left eye while acting, pirouettes clearly less dizziness

No problem to advise this course to other people because of the well explained neurologic interactions. It is so important to treat the body as a system where everything acts together as a whole system. I found this in this course very well explained and stimulates us to search further in the patient his/her problem..

I want to thank you both for your expertise and wanting to share with us. Years ago I bought a book by the chiropractor Jonathan Howat, I was glad to see some slides of him in your presentation. It is chiropractic expertise which must be given further in the next generations. Keep on going.
