Praise for:
Chiropractic Care for the Pregnant Patient

“Dr. Rosen’s ‘Chiropractic Care for the Pregnant Patient’ course exceeded my expectations. It was more accessible as an online course than I dared hope for. So full of both knowledge and guidance. Complete segments of lecture that were easy to digest, full of nuggets that I put into place at the adjusting table immediately. Very effective!

I have been studying pregnant patient care and support for 23 years in five different countries, so you can imagine my delight to find this course full of information that was new to me, easy to understand and implement, and laid out in such an informational way.

Dr. Rosen is most definitely at the top of this field with an encyclopedic knowledge and clever hands.
He is changing the trajectory of chiropractic, and specifically prenatal and pediatric chiropractic. I’m glad to have the ability to access his courses, both in person and online. And his book, ‘It’s All In The Head’ should be on the top of your reading list and on hand to share with patients.

I recommend this course for any chiropractor who has the time and motivation to take it, no matter what your level of expertise. Everyone will get something out of it! I am able to support my pregnant patients better now. And that is priceless.”

Dr. Lisa Geiger, DC

“The course is very thorough in addressing pregnancy care throughout stages of pregnancy. The course has filled in gaps where formal education and seminars have not linked together so many components of pregnancy and care by a chiropractor. The information can be overwhelming, however if one were to stay on top of it week to week it is very digestible with the homework, videos, transcript, and workbook.

This program has given me another push forward, expanding my knowledge and ability to see more of the entire picture of what is happening in pregnancy. It has also equipped me with tools for general care as well as specific conditions that I can immediately incorporate into my practice,

I had a postpartum patient with severe pubic symphysis pain. She has a very challenging labor but was committed to a vaginal birth and it did cause some trauma. She could not tolerate osseous adjustments of the pelvis and yet I was able to perform the pubic bone correction taught (bringing 2 bent legs up higher than the other until equal and then applying resistance). It resolved her unevenness and significantly reduced her pain.

The information is very well thought out and I am very appreciative of the content and also passing this information onto others in the field.”

James Lander, DC

“I am Webster certified and have been diving deep into SOT for the past year. I was very excited to look at chiropractic care for pregnancy through the lens of SOT.

My three takeaways:
1. The indicators. Not only does it give me certainty, but my patients think I am magic when they reduce after an adjustment!
2. The anatomy and physiology in the beginning portion has given me more certainty with my patient communication.
3. I loved the case management portion.

This program has given me certainty in my care and communication for prenatal patients. The seated blocking protocols are fantastic! It gave me a new tool to work with difficult patients. If you are looking for certainty with your care planning, communication and adjusting protocols for prenatal patients, this course is a must take! You guys are great! I am excited to keep studying with you!”

Nicholas Novakoski, DC

“I took this program to learn new strategies to care for the pregnant patient.

I love the format. Being able to rewind and re-watch until you have mastered the material is great. The content is extremely fascinating and applicable.

I personally thrive when I am learning. Learning keeps me excited about the job and that makes me a better physician. My patients are excited as well, especially when you have an indicator to make the correction and the indicator is gone.

Yesterday I worked with a patient with a breech baby. I struggled to completely balance her. She is a Cat 2 with round ligament pain and left SI discomfort. Worked per one and supine indicators and corrections and she was balancing out for the first time. She also stated that she feels the baby has changed position so tomorrow she is going to have an ultrasound (33 weeks) to see if the baby has turned. Her discomfort is completely gone.

The program is designed well and very valuable because you can utilize everything the next day. So much more value than an in-person class where I usually leave with one or 2 tidbits. This format let you really internalize the program.”

Silke Laub, DC

“My three takeaways for this program:

  1. This course goes above and beyond the normal pregnancy “protocols” such as Webster and is practical for all patients.
  2. Not every patient is the same, and this course gives you many different ways to help the pregnant population specific to what they need.
  3. This course provides extra materials needed to help things such as constipation and fertility issues, which are everyday life!

I am only a year out of school and because of the Peak Potential Courses and Dr. Jacobe Holman, I am so much more confident in how chiropractic can help pregnant patients and kids, which is what I specialize in. Patients also love the SOT technique and what I have taken away from Peak Potential. Thank you guys so much! I love the ‘bonus content’ that are little ways we can help moms with hemorrhoids, constipation, swelling, etc. that make a huge difference in their lives. I also just had my first baby, and knowing all of this helped my pregnancy and now my friends/patients who are pregnant as well!

Most of our pregnant patients are very in shape and are able to be adjusted in any way. We recently had a lady who could barely walk, sit, and could not lie down on the table. We blocked her seated and worked up to adjustments lying down, but still nothing crazy. Without this course, I would not have known how to help her!

I loved how it was a weekly video and call to action that followed. With a new baby, that helped me stay on track but gave grace when I needed it! I will recommend all of these classes to other chiropractors and will be taking more! Thank you!”

Allie Wright, DC

“My takeaways from this program:

1. The information is presented in an easy to follow, repetitive, and understandable manner. 2. The information and techniques can be added to your existing pregnancy techniques and enhance outcomes. 3. Being able to re-watch the videos has been very helpful, especially for Category II and Category III procedures.

I have noticed a lot of my pregnant patients experiencing a decrease in tightness of the lower abdominal region (maybe because of psoas release?) Also, I have noticed that it has become easier to find the taut round ligament (Webster Technique) since adding some of the SOT corrections.

I had a primiparous pregnant mama referred at 33 weeks. Baby was breech. Tight lower abdomen and pubic bone subluxation. Used the pubic bone correction taught in the course. Baby had not gone head down yet by 37 weeks, so mom had ECV – OB told mom baby not likely to turn with the procedure, but baby went vertex no problem! I really think being able to balance mom so well gave the baby the space she needed.

Thank you for all of the time and effort you both put into this program! I feel I am a better chiropractor after taking this course.”

Valerie Stroupe, DC

“The course structure is so easy to follow and well planned out. The videos are so great to be able to watch at your own pace, and revise when needed, helping to cement the learning. The Question and Answer videos at the end of the course are so great for those in a different time zone.

This program has really given me great confidence in practice to try new things, and to also get things wrong when learning, this naturally transcended into my personal life with growing as a person and practitioner.

After doing the call to action exercises I found that I had entered into a conversation with a newly pregnant mum regarding ways her body will be changing and how the biomechanics works, it wasn’t something previously I would have talked about, as she was already a long term Chiropractic patient, but in doing so it gave her great comfort to know what to expect, and also that Chiropractic would be there to support her throughout her pregnancy journey.

Studying the course from a different Country with a different time zone was no disadvantage, it was very easy to access and Dr Watson and Dr Rosen were very accommodating and supportive.”

Lauren Darby, DC

“Three of many takeaways… 1. I love the SOT approach to different categories and blocking, and I am happy to finally apply the knowledge to pregnant patients. For example, I never understood how to help pregnant patients with sciatica until the course demonstrated exactly how to adapt to the pregnant woman’s body. Now, I can confidently block prone, supine, and even seated! 2. The nutrition and organ support is extremely helpful to supplement the adjustments. Tying these to the pregnant population in a very simple yet specific manner helps make this easily applicable in daily practice. 3. Each scenario offers multiple approaches to care, such as multiple blocking methods, muscle balancing techniques, structural adjustments, and even organ and nutritional support. The course covered more than I anticipated and really helps enhance my ability to work with all scenarios.

This program truly enhanced my clinical skills and confidence in helping pregnant women. I have been studying SOT and have learned many pieces of the puzzle, and Drs. Marty and Nancy helped put the pieces together to effectively help a unique population. This course goes beyond the general techniques used for pregnancy and gives you multiple ways to handle common conditions and challenges. Each section of the course is thorough, and we are provided multiple tools for supporting pregnancy both in and outside of the office. A significant amount of the information can even apply to the non-pregnant population as well, which has helped with unique patient cases.

One of my biggest challenges was helping pregnant women with sciatica. I have one woman who felt decent with standard adjustments but was unable to get full relief from her sciatica. As soon as I learned the blocking techniques and pre- and post-blocking procedures, she had immediate and long-lasting relief after just one visit! If she was not blocked properly in future visits and adjusted the standard “Webster” way, her sciatica came back. While the Webster Technique is powerful for many, learning these skills really allows me to help women very specifically and tackle challenging cases much more effectively.

I genuinely loved all of the information in this course and the attention to detail with supporting a unique and important population. The information was thorough and easy to follow, and this will enhance my skills better than any other course probably can teach. In the future, I personally think adding in a section to focus on SOT and fetal positioning concurs (breech, transverse, etc.) and any protocols to help with optimal positioning would be a fantastic addition.”

Shivani Patel, DC

“My three takeaways from this course are: 1. Understanding the changes in the anatomy of pregnant women is very important because the more we know about the process of a growing baby, the more we can do to ensure the baby and mother are healthy throughout the three stages of gestation. 2. Other than the Webster technique, performing SOT on a pregnant woman is also a very gentle technique that can help with various conditions. 3. I like that we get to learn specific techniques that will help with some of the most common challenges the pregnant population faces throughout their pregnancy.

After taking this course, I feel like I’m more professionally and personally capable as a chiropractor and female to provide a more natural, easy, and less stressful adjusting technique to the pregnant population as well as provide other nutritional and supplemental recommendations to help ease their pregnancy journey.

I’ve been having more of my pregnant mothers use a Serola SI joint belt to help with stabilizing their hyper-mobility as indicated by the recommendations given to us in the seminar and the results have been amazing.

It continues to amaze me how much knowledge and information Dr. Rosen and Dr. Watson present to you in their online seminars. I am so thankful that I have the chance to learn from them and become a better chiropractor!”

Denise Miranda, DC

“My three takeaways:

1) Program is well organized, divided into bite size videos, and full of tools for assessments and corrections.

2) Videos are only accessible while the program is ‘active’.

3) Although having a SOT background is not required, understanding the basic framework & philosophy would greatly help grasping this program and the abundant information.

This program has challenged me to stay disciplined in time management. It has given me more assessment as well as correction tools to use with the pregnant population.

A 32 weeks pregnant existing patient presented with sudden onset of groin pain and sensitivity around the pubic symphysis region. I applied the technique taught in the program to reset the pubic symphysis. The patient stated she had about 50% improvement immediately and upon her following visit a week later, the symptoms had completely gone away.

Thank you for your commitment and passion for chiropractic, the pediatric and pregnancy population, and education. Y’all are deeply appreciated! Cheers.”

Candice So, DC

“This is a very gentle and effective technique to support women during pregnancy. SOT may not look like a lot from the outside, but is very powerful on the inside. The ancillary techniques are helpful for common pregnancy discomfort.

I have already added these tools and SOT protocol, which is newer to me, and have great results. It’s like ‘magic’.

Toward the end of this I had an existing patient come in with significant vertigo. She was not pregnant and had been in the ER the day before for all types of tests and imaging, all negative. Her PCP Rx medication, but she was hoping Chiropractic could help. Her husband had to assist her every move and the spinning was constant. I laid her supine and blocked her pelvis accordingly. Then focused on her upper cervical and used cranial work I learned in the Master Class. The blocking during cranial work was new for me. I had her back again later that day, a Friday, and again on Monday. She reported that by midday Saturday her vertigo was significantly decreased, and she had felt relief while on the table. On Monday her legs were still level and her pelvis had held. It was amazing to see her change so quickly and have her pelvis stay stable using this technique.

I genuinely appreciate all you docs do for our profession and the support you give to other Chiropractors. I have enjoyed all the classes I have taken with you, love the Q&A’s, even though I cannot attend live from my time zone. I hope to take one of your courses in person and shake your hands.”

Renee Thompson, DC

“I decided to take this course because I was repeatedly finding women, pregnant particularly, whose pelvises were giving me a hard time and were not properly aligned despite my best efforts with HVLA adjustments and other various techniques. I was hoping that I could help these women and future mamas in my office.

Even drop table adjustments that I previously considered very gentle can be too much given the instability during pregnancy. I can use other tools to help keep the belly off the table while making blocking more effective.

I love using this in my office and think that it will be a wonderful asset to my practice as I am able to assist women in reducing pregnancy related pain and women who have seen other chiropractors without much relief too. At home, I spent more time than anticipated as I found myself wanting to repeatedly watch the same videos to see what I missed the first time. The videos didn’t take too long and the CTA was beneficial but I just spent too much time watching and rewatching (with the first 5 videos in particular).

I used the acetabulum assessment and correction just last week and got a message the next day from the mom who said she felt so rested and had just slept the best she had in years, since having her first child. I also have used the assists for helping start labor and mom reported that it helps to regulate contractions and she believes helped move things along.

I absolutely loved this course as the videos were manageable in length and the community was so supportive. I learned so much throughout each one as they are chalked full with wonderful tidbits in addition to the expected curriculum. I do wish that I was more versed in SOT prior but I didn’t feel too lost without the background either. I was particularly fond of the different scenarios/case studies at the end as well as the support and presence in the FB group.

Thank you for another wonderful class! Fell behind due to life’s circumstances and taking on more than I can chew but I am so glad that I took this course because it is already helping mamas in my office!”

Katie LaBarge, DC

“I see a lot of pregnant patients in my practice and want to learn more ways of adjusting/treating them.

I learned new things that were easily implemented into my practice. The format of the course was flexible and fit into my schedule well. This course makes me want to continue and take more courses.

This course gave me more tools in treating pregnant patients and can even be used in my non-pregnant patients. I like that the course was not so demanding in hours jammed into one weekend, but spread out and allowed me to spend time with my family while learning.

I have been blocking some pregnant patients according to the Category II protocol and have seen decreased pelvic pain.

I enjoyed taking this course due to the flexibility in the schedule and the techniques were easily implemented into my practice. Highly recommended.

Dr. Rosen and Dr. Watson work well together as a team.”

Charlene Hobbie, DC

“My takeaways:

  1. This program is very useful and practical. It can be applied into practice right away.
  2. Live Q and A sessions are very helpful.
  3. Dr. Rosen and Dr. Watson are knowledgeable and are passionate about this work and truly are great mentors. They care about how well the information delivered to the students. You can tell that they want their students to be successful.

I was able to help myself during my last month of my pregnancy using blocking technique. I believe this contributes to the success of my VBAC. My patients have seen great results and become a believer of chiropractic care and they like the gentleness of this technique.

I was able to help a non-pregnant patient who had chronic rib pain to be pain free. This is the only technique that could calm her system and make her live a normal life. Other techniques often trigger more pain. Now she only wants blocking technique.

Great program! Great mentors and great chiropractors! I truly appreciate Dr. Rosen and Dr. Watson! I am looking forward to learning more from them in the future!”

Yile Zou, DC

“This program was very easy to follow along and the PowerPoints that accompanied the presentation are/will be more than adequate to be able to reference back to long after the class has been taken. Dr. Martin was easy to understand, was thorough, explained things very well and even though it was technique teaching through video and not in person, the camera angles are perfect for seeing everything.

From the very first class I was able to use practical tidbits during table talk with my patients that afternoon! Being able to care for pregnant women and children in my practice with these skills has been SO beneficial these last few months!

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant myself, and typically do a lot of side posture adjusting and heavy manual work elsewhere for my patients. I have personally physically benefitted by taking this course because I was able to stabilize my own category 2 due to the lighter force technique I was able to use on my own patients— less stress on my own body!!

This is the first fully online course I’ve ever taken since graduation 9.5 years ago. So I didn’t have a ton of expectations coming in, but everything went very well (even though I did get behind due to some unexpected factors in my own clinic pulling my attention away!). Thank you very much for your expertise and teachings!”

Bethany Becherer, DC

“I wanted to keep extending my knowledge of how I can help my pregnant patients more. I know SOT works wonders for people in general, I’ve never taken an SOT course before so this whole series was perfect to take.

My three takeaways:
One it’s very involved in the sense that if chiropractors have only taken Webster technique or haven’t done any pregnancy training then this course will definitely help acquire the tools/more tools to help your pregnant patients. A lot of techniques I was learning for the first time which made me excited to know I have a whole new skill set to help my patients with.
Secondly, there’s a community. So whenever you are in doubt there are the doctor live shares to watch/be a part of and contact via email or Facebook to ensure you comprehend the material.
Thirdly, while the material is very new for someone like me, constantly reiterating the important parts was perfect.

Just yesterday I utilized the assisted psoas correction after her psoas wasn’t making much of a release with the work I was doing and noticed that made a fantastic difference.

Overall I really enjoyed the course. It’s a lot to take in for someone new to SOT like me, especially once we started getting into the later parts of the course like the pituitary, liver etc. However, I feel like you did a really good job at repeating the really important parts that are the most common things I will need to be using.

I am definitely going to take another one of your SOT programs like this.
Thanks for everything!”

Francesca Aliberti, DC

“This course educates you on so many different ailments that can present throughout pregnancy so you feel more prepared when those issues arise. It ties in the different organ systems and techniques to address those specific issues as well. There are also some techniques that can help women that cannot conceive or have had difficulty maintaining pregnancy.

I wish the chiropractor who I saw during pregnancy was educated on these techniques, but I feel more confident in caring for future moms that come into my office now.

I had a mom struggling with hemorrhoids, and the protocol taught helped her a lot.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge so we can make an impact in this patient population.”

Amber Watson, DC

“Takeaways:

1. Webster Technique isn’t enough for every pregnant patient.

2: Consider all aspects of the patient, not just structural issues.

3: There are so many ways we can help women while they’re pregnant and it will help their developing babies as well.

I have been able to better serve my pregnant patients who have been sending me many more referrals now that I have more knowledge. It has increased my confidence and passion for the pregnant patient.

I recently helped a woman go into labor by stimulating L3, L5, and doing sacral pussyfooting 2 days before her scheduled induction at 39 weeks due to pregnancy complications. She was very pleased.

This program was extremely comprehensive. I wish we learned this in school instead of Webster technique”

Jennifer Vannoy, DC

“Drs. Rosen & Watson offer clinic expertise based on decades of active practice. This comes through in the effective techniques, systematic approaches and clinical pearls shared in every course.

This course has deepened my knowledge and understanding of pregnancy protocols and how to use them.

The Nuchal ligament and sacral indicators as well as the R&C factors and orthopedic blocking were helpful. I appreciated the SOT Category review, the cranial techniques and that you provided several examples of how to correct various issues. The nutrition examples and its relation to CMRT techniques and how to implement them is appreciated

Thank you for teaching from a very practical perspective.”

Laura Dowling, DC

“I decided to take the course because I wanted to expand my knowledge about the different techniques that can be used to treat pregnant patients and also deepen my understanding of the SOT technique.

My three takeaways:
1. Remember to check for organic problems, especially in the pregnant patient.
2. Try and encourage your community to see a chiropractor as soon as possible after conceiving or even better the weeks before. Also explain to them that they do benefit from care after birth as well.
3. Check your indications, often less is more.

I’m now more confident on how to communicate chiropractic care during pregnancy. I was also reminded that especially pregnant women don’t just need spinal adjustment but often times need treatment for different systems, e.g. organs, which has changed my way of practicing.

I treated an elderly woman with lower back pain where I applied the orthopedic blocking technique which really helped her especially since she couldn’t lie down. A pregnant patient had severe pain underneath her rib cage on one side. Using the protocols we learned in this program helped ease the pain.

I enjoyed taking the course with Dr. Rosen and Dr. Watson because they always encouraged us to ask questions and made sure that they were answered either via email or during the Q&A sessions. I learned many new techniques which I could apply in practice the next day, and I could also deepen my understanding of the knowledge I already had through previous seminars. I liked that the information we learned was again briefly repeated throughout the course because sometimes new questions came up and other times it was helpful to go over it again. Another helpful thing was the transcript for each video as well as the PowerPoints/manual.”

Monique Michelle Konau, DC

“I work with many pregnant patients and was hoping to learn a few new techniques to treat that population. There were valuable case study examples, different approaches for treatment of pregnancy, thorough outlines of technique The program introduced the idea that pregnant patients may not have regular HVLA adjustments and would be better treated with a more gentle approach. I used the seated lumbar adjustments and the pubic symphysis. Went well Dr. Watson and Dr. Rosen are both very passionate and knowledgeable about their field. This course outlines some new and useful techniques for treating the pregnant population. It was fairly heavy on prior SOT knowledge. That would’ve been helpful to know prior to it.”

Dr. Shenaigh Newman

“I was looking to increase my certainty in caring for my pregnant patients. There are many things that come up in practice that I have not always felt prepared for so I was hoping to alleviate some of the uncertainty.

My three takeaways:
1.There is always a way. If a patient is having difficulty with their pregnancy and supine or prone adjusting is not possible, seated is always an option.
2. Less is more when it comes to adjusting the pregnant patient.
3. A patient’s body will change dramatically from Tri1-3 so we need to be able to accommodate and modify our techniques to support that.

This course has increased my confidence in adjusting a patient with structural challenges that are outside typical. I had a patient present 7mos along for initial care. She had extreme lower rib pain and was unable to lie, having been sleeping sitting upright for a week. I worked on her seated and did work with her Psoas and seated lumbars.

The course with the Drs. Rosen and Watson has given me a broader scope of ways to help my patients. I’ve been in practice 17 years and there is still so much to learn. The application of SOT gives a perspective that helps me to think outside the box when approaching a difficult case.”

Lindsey Crook, DC

Learn more about the
Chiropractic Care for the Pregnant Patient Program

“As I took the SOT Pediatric Programme previously, I am thinking that it will be great to learn more new skills to help both pregnant mummies and their babies. Through this course, I learnt many effective and gentle ways of adjustment for pregnant ladies to ensure the adjustment treatment on every pregnant lady is carried out in a safer method.

1. I learnt the body structure changes on pregnant mummies which can help me to have a better understanding about pregnant mummy body condition during different phases of pregnancy.
2. I learnt different conditions or symptoms that will be faced by pregnant ladies and the treatment for each condition.
3. I learnt SOT block technique which is really an amazing technique to me as it is a really effective technique when I perform it on my patients.

After finishing this course, I found that I can have better communication with mummies and ladies who are pregnant. I am able to explain to them in a better and professional way during the report of finding, which can make them have more understanding of their condition and more willing to start or continue with the treatment.
I met one pregnant lady and that was her first pregnancy. She was very nervous and worried about hers and her baby’s condition. She experienced lower back pain and soreness. She used to self-crack her lower back to relieve her symptoms. After checking and treatment, she felt relief on her lower back, but she also felt tightness around her sacroiliac joints. After a few months of treatments, her condition is improving and she has safely delivered a healthy and cute baby.

I feel that this is a really great and amazing course. Through this course, chiropractors can have a golden opportunity to learn a specific, safer and effective technique for pregnant ladies. Besides, not only treatment, this course also gives a clear picture and explanation about how pregnancy causes changes in women’s body condition and structure, which is really helpful to chiropractors to have a better understanding about it.

After finishing this course, I feel that I have more confidence when I meet pregnant ladies. Honestly speaking, previously I have no confidence with handling treatment for pregnant mummies. However, after learning and exposing myself to this amazing SOT technique, I found that I become more confident when facing patients who are in pregnancy. I really want to thank Dr Martin and Dr Watson who taught me this awesome technique. I hope there will be more chiropractors and patients from all over the world will get benefits from the great technique. Last but not least, I wish I will have more chances to learn from Dr. Martin and Dr. Watson in the future.”

Dr. Lee Wen Jia

“I wanted to get more ideas for treating my pregnant patients.
I learned some new strategies for treatment, even though I do not use SOT, I got a great review of anatomy and physiology of the pregnant patient, I feel more confident treating this population.

I have already utilized a few techniques on patients that I was not getting good results with.

I had never heard of the treatment for morning sickness, and I seem to be having some success with decreasing this problem in a few of my pregnant patients.

I have been in practice for 30 years, and I thought I had seen just about all possibilities for treatment. It was nice to have a review of anatomy and to get more ideas for treatment to add to my arsenal. When I see 40-60 patients a day, there is always a group that does not respond to my standard treatment. I used a few ideas from just about every video within a week of watching it. No matter how long you are in practice, you can always learn something new.

The doctors are very knowledgeable and thorough. It was nice to have the ability to ask questions in the live sessions and Facebook page.”

Maria Rapp, DC

“I wanted to learn more about helping the pregnant Mum’s I see in my office, there is always something every so often that doesn’t respond to care so I wanted to get some more techniques for my tool box to best serve my community.

My three take-aways: The program is broken into manageable weekly chunks. It is immediately applicable to use in the office and you will learn how safely and competently care for pregnant women (but it is also applicable to anyone in the office).

This program has given me more confidence and certainty in the office I have enjoyed learning/using my brain again and joining a group/community of like-minded people.

I think the biggest change has been to use the blocks for all categories in pregnancy – prior to this course I only blocked Cat 2 but now I have the pillows/knowledge to keep using the blocks through pregnancy The best example has been a lady who was a Cat 3 and had been in very bad pain for months prior to the appointment and from the first visit she was more comfortable and mobile.

This course is the best pregnancy course out there, you can take the skills you learn and use them immediately in the office and most of all pregnant Mum’s who may have been afraid of chiropractic care end up loving care because it is so comfortable for them.

I really appreciate how available you are to answer questions and your willingness to share your wisdom and knowledge.”

Kylie Phillips, DC

“I took this course for the quality of the teachers and the topics involved with the hope of being able to give more professional, gentle, specific and effective attention in caring for the pregnant patient.

My three takeaways:
1. Quality of teachers
2. Space to ask questions and clarify concepts
3. Broad and complete agenda with the main topics involved the pregnancy.

This course has generated a more complete knowledge of the changes involved in pregnancy as well as its approach, allowing me to provide better care and at the same time generating more confidence about chiropractic management in the patient pregnant. Personally, it has expanded my range of benefits as well as the ability to safely face the changes that women are experiencing at different stages of her pregnancy.

Many of techniques learned have been very useful, such as the technique for the previous sacral base and its evaluation through cranial indicators; this has allowed me to manage many lumbar or sacral pain in a totally smooth way, without discomfort and providing a fast and effective resolution.

I believe that programs like this, deep, extensive, with a description of the mechanisms involved in both the injury and its resolution, not only give more confidence to the chiropractor, but also allow enough time to mature the concepts, which can be applied immediately after learning, in order to fine-tune its use and at the same time clarify any doubts that may arise.

Thank you for allowing many, who cannot by distance, to access this great knowledge in a dynamic, entertaining and attractive way to the practitioner.”

Cesar Segura, DC

“I took this program to have more skills to help with my pregnant patients.

It was a good look into SOT and hit the areas of the technique that you can use the next day in office. I’d like to expand it and take more SOT courses with Peak potential because it has been 15 years since really diving into SOT In school. Reviewing the videos over and over seems to really help me and it helps to watch Doc work with actual patients. I really enjoyed the tidbits of information that were given to help with certain specific pregnancy cases.

This program has really helped me to be able to reach those pregnant patients that have severe pain. I have a patient that cannot sleep at night nor get comfortable except when she is in the shower. We started blocking her Cat 2 and working more on her psoas and she is now able to rest at night. She has less leg pain as well.

This program is something all chiros can benefit from because it is a less invasive procedure and it allows you to open up your practice for many different needs. It’s a great tool to use on all patients and I have started incorporating it on all patients. It is also easier on my body as an adjuster.

Thank you; it has been a great class and a huge blessing to my practice. I will be taking other classes in the future.”

Hailey Burpo, DC

“I have always enjoyed caring for pregnant patients, and I wanted to enhance and strengthen my assessment and adjustment procedures for this population.

My three takeaways:
1) Excellent format with weekly lessons and homework
2) Call to action homework to create pregnant info handouts/posters was incredibly useful.
3) Excellent collection of useful information about things commonly seen in each trimester of pregnancy.

This program has enhanced my interest in caring for pregnant patients, and I feel refreshed and equipped to serve. Currently caring for a woman (37 weeks at her visit today) who has benefited greatly from her care over the past 5 weeks. Significantly reduced pain in the pubic symphysis and round ligament.

I enjoyed the weekly lesson format of this course and also found the Facebook q&a’s helpful as a review and opportunity to learn from the questions posed by other participants. At times, it was a little difficult to keep up with the pace at which the content was delivered within the videos themselves, and therefore I found having the slides and transcripts very crucial to my understanding. Thank you very much.”

Dr. Erin McLaughlin

“My three takeaways from this course are:

  1. Importance for a chiropractor to have a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the pelvic area and the change as the pregnancy progresses. Especially In having a good understanding in how the pelvic inlet and outlet can be disturbed by sacrum base and ilium unbalance.
  2. Different physiological changes at each stage of pregnancy will bring to 3 different categories regarding pelvis weightbearing considering the SOT paradigm. CAT 1: early stage, changes in CSF flow, hormonal changes CAT2: most predominant category. Very important to be addressed. CAT 3: acute pain and sciatica

It challenged me in studying a foreign language, and gave me new tools for my practice. I kept on practicing these new protocols with my family first and experienced a certain patient. I wish I had those tools before in my practice.

I had a 20th week pregnant patient with SB positive and hyperlordosis. I experienced the seated blocking technique. It was helpful. I also had a real CAT 2 16 weeks pregnant woman. I blocked prone and corrected the UMS and LLL supine. It was exactly as I could read it in my notes! It helped her instantaneously.

Thanks for your work. It is always a pleasure to meet you during the doctor’s sharing.”

“Taking this course gave me more confidence in how I treat and care for my pregnant patient by giving me more tools in my tool box aiding in a more robust and well-rounded treatment plan.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to study and learn with you. At times in our profession, we forget to hold hands and share our knowledge with one another. By doing this course, you not only taught me a tremendous amount of information but you also gently reminded me that my 22 years in practice was a journey that I need to lovingly share with others as we all have different experiences to pass on, not just to our profession but to our health colleagues. I study and observe a lot. I speak little. This was my wake up call. A reminder of my responsibility. Please know, I am doing more conversing.

Since starting this class, I have gotten more difficult cases referred in from OB offices. Especially, stubborn low back pain that I was getting nowhere with. I was able to add to my current way of treating them.

Considering they could barely walk into my office and were not responding to chiropractic, I found that looking at the spine differently did help stabilize the pelvis in a more optimal position for labor and delivery. Also, I started to use pillows much more often instead of raising the pelvic piece on my table to keep from accentuating the lumbar curve.

Thank you for being there for us and sharing your knowledge not because you have to, but because you care about the next generation of chiropractors that will carry our profession.”

Kristen Kerr, DC

“I loved this program! I am not an SOT practitioner so this was broken up into several bite size chunks that allowed me to learn a little bit each week and begin to implement it as I went. I also loved the ability to go back and re-watch certain videos over and over again until I could start recalling the information more easily.

This has been a great introduction into the SOT world and it has definitely benefited me professionally with patient care. I am in a city with many other chiropractors and the ones that have training for pregnancy patients mainly just have Webster Technique certification. I believe this technique will take me above and beyond that technique to be able to help my expecting mothers.

My pregnant patients that I was seeing during the course loved the SB+ blocking as they got further into second and third trimesters. I had one that had terrible morning sickness that I wish I could’ve helped with the CMRT technique but she was past that by the time we learned it in class unfortunately!”

Kelli Westhues, DC

“This program was informative with useful techniques to apply in the clinic at once and great content – easy to understand.

I have been able to address more complicated cases with clarity and have noticed better clinic outcomes as a result. Personally I feel more confident in providing care for my patients throughout their pregnancy.

A patient 25 weeks pregnant presenting with lower back pain which was also affecting her gait and causing her knee discomfort. After assessing her she presented me with Category II, which I went on to correct and this instantly stopped her pain and she was able to walk properly without discomfort.

The program was amazing! Thank you. I have learnt a great deal and I am looking into completing the SOT protocol as I have found these techniques extremely useful in my practice.”

Jovana Dumovic, DC

“I would share with others that the course is well organized and carefully prepared for comprehension. I learned various techniques & tools (pelvic blocks, bolsters, sacral blocks, etc) to assist pregnant mothers in all stages of the perinatal period & others in the office. I was most interested in learning how to utilize pelvic blocking as I find some expecting mothers are nervous about the drop piece, or lying prone. Making the seated blocking technique quite notable.

I have always enjoyed learning so this course was very satisfying. I see many expecting women in the office, and other clients who will benefit from these new modalities/offerings. I have been considering creating a course and/or mentorship program myself and this course has further supported that desire.

I have used pelvic blocking in multiple instances since beginning/completing the course. Mostly on non-pregnant clients as I do not currently have bolsters. My non-pregnant patients have enjoyed it, especially those with chronic LBP (mod-severe ddd/djd), where drop piece may be aggravating. Both clients I’m referring to responded well and looked forward to additional treatments using drop piece.

I really enjoyed the course overall, from the content to the layout/presentation. I like the involvement in videos, assignments, Q&As, and the Facebook group. I’m looking forward to taking additional courses with Peak Potential Institute!”

“My three takeaways from the Pregnancy Program are:   Robust. Complete. Incredibly useful.

I approach pregnant patients with greater mastery and support

I had a patient with nasty morning sickness and was able to support them. I also have a ton of patients come in with VBAC and look forward to supporting the next one more effectively.

Loved it, love them. Thanks for all you do.”

Lisa Geiger, DC

“My three takeaways from this program:

  1. Techniques most helpful for patients with hypermobility issues
  2. Tests to be used to determine sacral stability and SB position
  3. Common conditions in the pregnant population and how to best help them.

This program has made me really think when adjusting patients about which technique will best benefit them. Blocking has helped me personally to not overuse my own back so much with side posture.

I adjusted a 40 week pregnant patient and used SB +, uterine constraint technique and L5 adjustment with tapping to help stimulate labor.

I‘ve become much more confident in blocking my patients. The pregnancy seminar was fun to learn how to best treat my pregnant patients but was also a great review for me of SOT categories and blocking. Thank you!”

Kelly Schubert, DC

“My takeaways from this program:

  1. Cat 2 hypermobility is the most common issue when dealing with pregnancy
  2. Seated blocking techniques can be used when patients aren’t able to lay prone or supine for an extended amount of time.
  3. Sacral footing technique is good for when a pregnant patient is experiencing a lot of inflammation/swelling because it helps stimulate CSF movement.

Since I just had a baby within the last year, I wish I knew about the seated blocking because later into my pregnancy I had a hard time laying prone and supine for extended amounts of time. It wasn’t something I knew you could do to patients, so now I am excited to use it in practice.

I had a patient that had lumbar disc issues before pregnancy and as she progressed in her pregnancy they were starting to bother her more. Along with using the R&C factors to determine the position of segments, I had her do the spinal twists and decompress her spine at home by putting her feet up on the couch while on the floor. She said her symptoms were improving but has not completely gone away.

This was a very informative program. I was unable to attend the live Q&As due to work but I’m glad they were all recorded and provided to watch later.”

Carissa Chuidian, DC

“The information contained in this course is very practical. It’s presented logically, and easy to implement.

Learning the techniques presented here has given me many more tools when working with a pregnant woman.

Specifically, I recently worked with a woman with constipation. After applying the techniques and doing the thumb toggles around her abdomen she had the best illumination she’d had in years.

Thank you for preparing and presenting this course. I look forward to taking more courses from the Peak Potential Institute. Thanks again!”

Tamara Lund, DC

“This program has an easy layout of material in workbook and videos – ability to go back and watch videos was helpful for cases when I was stuck – depth of material was great for complex cases.

This has helped me navigate pregnancy cases that weren’t finding relief with just Webster and Logan basic approach

l3/l5 tapping and occipital fiber balancing/past due date – I applied this to a mom who was ‘going to be induced’ and she went into labor that evening on her own”

Matthew Allen, DC

“I am highly experienced with pregnancy chiropractic and yet, there was so much I didn’t know. You can literally learn a technique and implement it the same day – and see results. That SOT is absolutely beautiful for pregnancy. You can do more than you think for morning sickness.

I am much more confident with tricky cases. I enjoy pregnancy care even more than I did. When you see the benefit and joy these techniques bring to women at such an important time – it makes every day in practice a joy.

I used a Cat II blocking technique with a patient who hadn’t stabilised in the previous session – who stabilised beautifully after that session. And thereafter in her visits.”

Philippa Wilmot, DC

“My three takeaways for this program are:

  1. I love being able to help moms with morning sickness & this class has added more tools for me to share with moms.
  2. The class on VBACs & past due dates was one of my favorites! Helping to give moms the confidence to go past their ‘due date’ is great!
  3. The class on pelvic constraint added another level of knowledge to help moms.

This program is adding to my knowledge & certainty in helping pregnant mamas.

I think the content is fantastic!”

Elizabeth Williams, DC

“My three takeaways are:   Category 2, CMRT, gentle lifting of spinous processes.

I have had several patients that have benefited with additional techniques learned in this course, my listening skills have improved due knowing more that I can help.

A patient came in with mid back pain into shoulder. Worked with Psoas and had her sit and worked with spinous process in the cat/cow gentle lifting with breaths.

I have so many additional things to add to what I am currently doing, thank you!”

Amy Gates, DC

“My three takeaways from this program are:

  1. There’s so many ways to help the pregnant mother
  2. We go beyond adjustment; we can also help with motion sickness and hemorrhoids
  3. Are sure to have a proper flow chart for what you learned to help ease everything together

I can now see more pregnancy patients with confidence.   I helped a woman who had morning sickness. She felt better after 3 visits.”

Alexa Faraon, DC

“This program was very interesting. A video every week helps to integrate new information progressively.

I am proud to be more specialised with pregnant patients. I feel more confident about these techniques. We try to have a child so I feel especially more interested in this course

I used the Category 2 in sitting position and the patient felt immediately releasing of the pain, and then with standing she was more stable.

Thank you very much.”

Emeric Largentier, DC

“My Biggest take away was learning how to use the blocks in the seated position. How to use the sternum roll and blocks to adjust a pregnant woman without a pregnancy pillow.

The program provided me with more confidence when adjusting pregnant women at the office.

At the office I used the block in a seated position, the patient loved the result.

I love the course.”

Giselle Santana, DC

“This program gives a lot of additional resources to specifically impact the pregnant patient. Understanding the different indicators for each of the Category Analyses has expanded my usage of the blocking systems I’ve used in the past. I really appreciate having more options than just Webster Technique to use on my pregnant patients.

I am still digesting some of the material but this course has deepened my ability to care for the pregnant patient and given me more options when encountering the different conditions pregnancy can produce.

I have used the CMRT analysis to help with digestion successfully.”

Andrea Burke, DC

“In this program, you are taught an alternative way to adjust pregnant women if you don’t have a pregnancy pillows.  There are great tips on how to care for someone who may not be responding to care and good tips on dealing with certain conditions related to pregnancy.

This program gives me more knowledge and tools to work with.

Very knowledgeable!”

Pam Stone, DC

“This program is a great way to learn more about the physiological changes that occur in each trimester and how to best support women during each phase.

This program has given me a greater understanding of the different categories of subluxation patterns, especially how they relate to pregnancy.

I have a couple of women who always have psoas show up but then I addressed T11/T12 with the assisted psoas correction shown and I found that their posts stopped showing up as frequently.

Thank you for providing this information!”

Kaitlyn Rice, DC

“My takeaways are: know your indicators, know in what situations we could help with pregnant women, and finally what we could do to correct and stabilise them

This program equipped my knowledge and skills to treat pregnant women with confidence.

Using the blocking techniques for patient in third trimester, which significantly reduces the instability and pain

Amazing overview treatment protocol for pregnancy”

Lok Yan Joanne Cheng

“SOT is very important to know and understand. I have been doing the pubic symphysis adjustment Look at pairs from occiput to sacrum to lumbars (all vital regions during pregnancy)

My practice members are seeing longer lasting results and I have way more confidence in my adjustments

Thank you for everything you do!”

Megha Bagai, DC

“This program has given me another tool to treat pregnant patients in my tool box.

Balancing the pelvis for a patient in her last week with the blocks greatly reduced the low back tension and pressure she was feeling.

Very informative and utilizing the SOT indicators helps to form a flow chart for patient outcomes.”
